The 13th Annual Congress of the Optometrist Society of Cambodia

Recently, the 13th Annual Congress of the Optometrist Society of Cambodia was held on November 25th, 2022 in Siem Reap. The main idea of the conference was to improve the quality of eye examinations and refraction services in Cambodia. The conference succeeded in updating knowledge in various optometric fields such as myopia control, low vision, binocular vision, paediatric eye care, etc. to support clinicians during their daily practice. The Optometry Vietnam also attended and contributed two presentations on paediatric eye care (Ms. Tran Minh Anh – Hanoi Medical University) and binocular vision (Mr. Le Thanh Hai – Pham Ngoc Thach University of medicine). The most special presentation went to Dr. May Ho from Fred Hollows Foundation (Australia) with her report on myopia control and the Q-REC study (Results of the quality of refractive error care survey in Cambodia) has received a lot of attention.
