Cận thị là một vấn đề toàn cầu, ảnh hưởng đến 5 tỉ người trên thế giới vào 2050. Cận thị nếu không được điều trị và hạn chế tiến triển vào giai đoạn sớm có thể dẫn đến mất thị lực không hồi phục do cận thị bệnh lý ở giai đoạn muộn. Các phương pháp hạn chế tiến trị cận thị – sử dụng phương pháp chỉnh hình giác mạc Orthokeratology, thông qua các kinh nghiệm ca lâm sàng thực tế của Dr. Andrew Pucker sẽ là chủ đề chính của số 131 series học tập trực tuyến OOLS.

Myopia is an epidemiology problem, which could affect 5 billion population globally in 2050. Myopia, if not treats appropriately and reduce its progression at the early stage, can lead to irreversible visual impairment cause by myopia pathology at the later stage. The reduced progression method that uses advanced contact lenses to adjust corneal shape (orthokeratology) will be mentioned through series Dr. Andrew Pucker experiences clinical cases – the major theme of the OOLS 131st.
